Presentation of third and final Certificate and Considerations “Ship of the Year Award 2024”

On October 25, 2024, representatives of the KNVTS (the jury chairman Koos Zitman and Chief Executive Board member Peter Wehrmeijer) presented the third charter certificate with the accompanying consideration to the representatives (Jurjen van ‘t Verlaat and Hermen de Jong) of the Royal Huisman shipyard in Vollenhove.

It concerns the SARISSA, a unique, 60-meter one-off yacht design with various innovative, energy-efficient and -saving onboard systems. With this sailing yacht, Royal Huisman has been nominated for the “Ship of the Year Award 2024.” The certificate and recitals contribute to a positive international image of the yard and Dutch Shipbuilding. With the presentation all nominees are provided with proof of their nomination and the endorsement thereof in an extensive bilingual Considerans (Motivation).

The final winner of the “Ship of the Year Award 2024”, will be announced at the Maritime Awards Gala on November 4 in Hilversum.
