TekTalk “Unmanned Surface Vehicles in Naval Warfare”

Can a serious topic like “Unmanned Surface Vehicles in Naval Warfare” be discussed with a wink? Rui Costa, a gifted speaker and writer on this subject, let us experience it during this TekTalk on Thursday evening,  June 27. With a sense of entertainment, he guided an engaged audience through the history of unmanned systems in maritime warfare, the latest developments and technological challenges, and the prospects for innovations and countermeasures. And before we knew it, we were an hour and a half further…and many insights richer.

This TekTalk was jointly organized by KNVTS and KIVI Martec in the stately building of KIVI in The Hague. Many had braved the traffic and beautiful weather to be there, but this time we also had a live stream for participants who could not be physically present.

The conversations continued during the subsequent networking drinks in the garden. A beautiful summer evening in which it became clear to everyone present what a TekTalk entails.
