The National Growth Fund (Nationaal Groeifonds) Supports Maritime Master Plan with 210 Million Euros

The Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management has allocated 210 million Euros from the National Growth Fund on June 30, 2023. Of which 110 million Euro is conditional.

The purpose of the Maritime Master Plan is to accelerate the energy transition in the maritime field. With this fund, the first step of the Maritime Master Plan can be implemented, we can take a big step towards accelerating the development, construction and commissioning of competitive and reliable climate neutral demonstration ships to become the market leader for different ship types in the construction of emission free ships.

The chairman of the Netherlands Maritime Land Foundation Rob Verkerk says ”we are very pleased with this granting”.
