Lezing Onderzoeksresultaten Onderhoudsmanagement

De lezing zal worden gehouden in het hoofdkantoor van Damen Naval, De Willem Ruysstraat 99, 4381NK Vlissingen. Aanvang: 19.30 uur. Introducees zijn van harte welkom. Binnen de opleiding maritiem officier van de HZ volgen HBO studenten van de Opleidingen Marof, Engineering en de opleiding TBK een minor Equipment Maintenance Technology (EMT). Binnen deze minor doen de studenten een dag (20% van de studietijd), in een groep van 2 studenten, onderzoek in projectvorm, waarbij ze proberen een actuele onderzoeksvraag vanuit het beroepenveld te beantwoorden. De onderzoeksprojecten zijn in september gestart worden en zullen in januari 2023 afgerond worden. Ze willen hun resultaten graag presenteren aan de leden van de KNVTS. Hieronder een korte samenvatting van de projecten:

Product as a Service. The client, Kraker trailers, wants to investigate ultrasonic testing as a possible method of thickness measurement of their aluminium trailer floors. This in order to use real live data in “Product as a service”. “Product as a service” is to be realised using real-live data such as temperatures, pressures and floor-thickness. The results of this investigation and explanation of “product as a service” shall be shown on-screen.

Predictive Maintenance of valves.Yara Sluiskill has, as most companies have, to deal with maintaining their assets. Currently, they are performing preventive, time-based, maintenance upon their, throughout the whole plant installed, process control valves. However, with this current strategy, they are not able to make full use of the useful lifetime of the valves. This results, among other things, in unexpected breakdowns, higher process downtime, more usage of raw materials, and unnecessary (high) labor costs. In order to make maximum use of the useful lifetime, Yara wants to know if they could perform condition/predictive-based maintenance upon the membranes of their process control valves, based on the operating data.

Condition monitoring of a lock. The Zandkreeksluis is a lock, which is placed between the former Zandkreek and the Veerse Meer. It was built back in 1960. Rijkswaterstaat requested an investigation about possible Condition-Based-Monitoring opportunities for the Zandkreeksluis. During the presentation, the approach and outcome of this investigation will be shown and described.
