KNVTS exists 125 Years this year

Symposium "The KNVTS GAUGES"

The KNVTS was originally founded as “Vereeniging van werktuigkundigen ter Koopvaardij” in May, 1898. In the “Zuid-Hollandsche Koffiehuis”. The society will exist 125 years this year, every reason to celebrate. That is why KNVTS will host a symposium (maximum 200 participants) for its members and other friends from the maritime sector, in Rotterdam on May 11, 2023, entitled:

“The KNVTS gauges”

Where do we stand with our ambitions on digitization and sustainability?

Practical examples, demonstrations and ongoing research will be presented to determine the position of the sector with regard to innovations in the fields of sustainability and digitalization.

Questions to be answered are:

-        What has already been achieved?

-        Is it necessary to change direction?

-        Do we have to do more?

On this day, the symposium will focus on two themes:

Sustainability and Digitalization

In two parallel sessions, wind propulsion, alternative fuels, smart maintenance, autonomy, simulation/Digital Twin and Big data applications will be discussed. Innovators from the maritime sector will respond to these questions. They will show what has already been achieved or what they have achieved and together we will look into the future.

During the day you can network and catch up on developments in our industry. The maritime industry.

Registration for this day is free. Maximum 200 participants. Registration via/by e-mail address:
